Hit & Run Evidence Preservation was created to help people take organized, time-sensitive steps after the confusion of a hit-and-run collision.
Why this utility exists
After a crash, a person may be trying to manage safety, vehicle damage, police reporting, insurance, witnesses, nearby cameras, and records that could be overwritten. This utility turns those separate concerns into a clear workspace.
The project was inspired by the experience of going through a hit-and-run and recognizing how difficult it can be to know what information to collect and whom to contact.
What it helps people do

What it does not do
The site does not report a crash, contact police, send letters, provide legal representation, determine legal deadlines, guarantee that evidence exists, or guarantee that a recipient will preserve or release records.
